Hoopenburg Guesthouse in Stellenbosch was absolutely charming with friendly staff and a delightful breakfast. The owners and staff were helpful, providing great suggestions for exploring nearby wine estates. The dinner was delicious, and the location near the N2 was convenient for our early morning departure. We had a warm and welcoming stay, feeling grateful for the wonderful South African hospitality.

There was nothing I didn't like.

the spacious and clean room was complemented by a well-equipped bathroom. the host welcomed us warmly with a lot of information on the region and what to do, providing us with helpful recommendations. the breakfast is delicious and features a variety of options. Apart from this, it was easy to have access to the property and amenities.

We felt it was located a bit far away from other restaurants and neighborhoods.

We chose this luxurious hotel as our first stay in South Africa and it turned out to be the perfect decision. The location is close to all the main wineries, allowing us to easily explore and taste the delicious wines of the region. Additionally, the free Wi-Fi in the rooms allowed us to stay connected and share our memorable experiences with friends and family.

This guesthouse exceeded my expectations. the breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, cereal, and freshly baked muffins. the best part was the delicious omelette that made my mornings. the location of the guesthouse was also great, being close to the main highway made transportation very easy. the special touches of flowers and a bottle of wine in the room made me feel very welcomed.

The communal fridge was very small and already filled with juice from the guesthouse, which made it impossible to store my own food. the staff was not very accommodating towards children.
